A step-by-step walkthrough of the entire TG POLYCET counselling and admission procedure — from eligibility to reporting at SC Polytechnic College.
Before beginning the counselling process, ensure you meet all eligibility requirements set by SBTET, Telangana for TG POLYCET 2026.
Follow each step carefully. Missing or skipping any step may result in cancellation of your seat allotment.
The first action in the counselling process is to pay the non-refundable processing fee on the official TG POLYCET counselling portal. This fee covers administrative costs and is required regardless of whether a seat is allotted.
Go to tgpolycet.nic.in or polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in and click "Payment of Processing Fee" on the homepage.
Register using your TG POLYCET ICR Number (from admit card), Date of Birth as on SSC Marks Memo, and your SSC Hall Ticket Number.
Enter your Aadhaar Number, Mobile Number, Email. If applicable, enter your Caste Certificate and Income Certificate application numbers.
Pay via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. Save the payment receipt — you'll need it at certificate verification.
| Category | Processing Fee | Payment Mode |
|---|---|---|
| OC / General | ₹ 600 | Online only |
| BC – A, B, C, D, E | ₹ 600 | Online only |
| SC (Scheduled Caste) | ₹ 300 | Online only |
| ST (Scheduled Tribe) | ₹ 300 | Online only |
After paying the processing fee, you must book a slot for certificate verification at a Help Line Centre (HLC) near you. Slot booking is done online — you choose your preferred date, time, and centre.
Select from the list of designated HLCs across Telangana. Choose a centre nearest to you. The complete list is available on the official portal.
Available slots are shown in real-time. Select a date and time that works for you. Candidates from different rank bands are given priority slots in sequence.
Download and print your slot booking acknowledgement. Carry this printout to the HLC on your booked date along with all original documents.
This is the only offline step in the counselling process. You must physically visit your booked Help Line Centre with ALL original documents on your allotted date and time. Your Aadhaar fingerprint biometric will be verified with UIDAI at the HLC.
All certificates must be originals. Also bring two sets of self-attested photocopies. Check the Documents section below for the complete list.
Your fingerprint biometric will be verified against UIDAI database. This is mandatory for all candidates. Ensure your Aadhaar is active and linked to your mobile number.
After successful verification, you will be issued a receipt of certificates by the HLC. Keep this receipt safely — it is required for the next steps.
After certificate verification, you register for counselling by filling in your complete details on the SBTET portal. This creates your counselling profile which is used for seat allotment.
Enter full name, date of birth, gender, Aadhaar number, mobile, email, and permanent address. Ensure all details exactly match your SSC certificate.
Enter SSC marks, Hall Ticket number, year of passing, board name, and TG POLYCET rank details. Upload scanned copies if required.
Select your category (OC/BC/SC/ST/EWS). Enter caste/income certificate numbers if applicable. Accuracy here is critical for reservation benefits.
This is the most critical step in the counselling process. You choose your preferred Polytechnic colleges and Diploma branches in order of priority. Seat allotment is done strictly based on your rank, category, and the options you enter here.
Download the complete list of all participating polytechnic colleges, courses offered, intake numbers, and course codes from the official portal. Review it thoroughly before entering options.
Enter college + course combinations in your order of preference. Enter as many options as possible. SC Polytechnic college codes should be among your top options.
After entering all options, you must freeze them before the deadline. You can modify options multiple times until the freeze deadline — but once frozen, no changes are allowed.
SBTET publishes the seat allotment results online after processing all options. Based on your rank, category, and options entered, you will be allotted the best available seat from your list.
Log into the portal with your Hall Ticket Number, Date of Birth, password, and ROC Form Number to view your allotment status. Results show allotted college, course, and category.
Download the official Allotment Order from the portal. This is your admission letter. Print it and carry it to the allotted college. Also download the Fee Payment Challan.
Visit the designated bank with the fee challan and pay the tuition fee. SC/ST candidates eligible for fee reimbursement must also pay first and then claim reimbursement through TG ePASS.
After getting a seat allotted and paying the tuition fee, you must physically report to SC Polytechnic College within the stipulated dates. Failure to report within the deadline will result in automatic cancellation of your seat.
Carry Allotment Order, Fee Payment Receipt, and ALL original certificates with 2 Xerox sets. See the Documents Checklist section below for complete list.
The admission committee verifies all documents. Originals are returned after verification. Photocopies are retained. Any discrepancy may lead to cancellation.
Complete all required admission forms at the college including student information form, scholarship application (if applicable), and hostel form if needed.
You will receive an Admission Confirmation Letter from the college. Classes for the 2026–27 academic year begin on 11th June 2026.
TG POLYCET 2026 counselling is conducted in 3 rounds by SBTET, Telangana. Candidates who miss one round may still participate in the next.
Carry ALL originals + 2 sets of self-attested photocopies to both the Help Line Centre and SC Polytechnic College.

Enter as many valid options as possible — the system typically allows up to 100+ college+course combinations. More options = better chance of getting a good seat. List your dream option first and fill remaining slots with realistic alternatives.
Name discrepancies can cause issues during verification. If your name is spelled differently across documents, carry an affidavit on ₹100 stamp paper with a declaration about the name variation. Get it notarised before visiting the HLC.
